Rock Band and Side Benefits to the Music Industry
One of the things that helps to play the game, is to actually know the songs that are being played to begin with. So, I went to iTunes and purchased all of the songs in "Rock Band" that were available through them and put them into a playlist of its own on my iPod (All but 2 were there and I wish those 2 were there too because I would have purchased them!). Now I listen to them for most of the day.

It's a delightfully eclectic collection that suites my tastes nicely.

For many of the artists, it?s my first exposure and now I want to hear more of their music.

I was frankly shocked to see how very popular ALL of the songs were as far as being downloaded. Has anyone been tracking to see what kind of increase in sales those particular songs have seen since the release of "Rock Band"? I would love to hear whether it had a perceivable impact on their sales.
