Terra Lycos said Friday it will add GoTo.com's pay-for-placement search engine services to its Web sites in a three-year deal potentially valued at tens of millions of dollars.

Under the agreement, GoTo's "Premium Listings" search service will be added to Lycos.com and HotBot search results, the search sites for the Lycos Network used by more than 32 million Web surfers each month, the company said in a statement.

Premium Listings are the top listings submitted by Pasadena, Calif.-based GoTo's growing base of approximately 32,000 advertisers.

In late trading Friday, shares of GoTo were up $1.13, or 7 percent, to $17.25, while shares of Waltham, Mass.-based Terra Lycos were up $1.50, or 6 percent, to $26.31 on the news of the deal.
