Loudeye fills label roster with EMI deal

Digital media company Loudeye Technologies says it has struck a licensing deal with EMI Recorded Music to digitally store and encode its U.S. catalog of audio and music video titles. The Seattle-based company said it now has licensing agreements with all five of the major record labels: EMI, Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and BMG Entertainment.

Loudeye said the latest agreement will let the company expand its digital archive with EMI content. The Seattle-based company helps media companies convert audio and video into digital format for distribution.
