Listen.com shakes up management

Online music directory service Listen.com has shuffled its management, giving former CEO and founder Rob Reid the position of chairman. President Sean Ryan will take Reid's position as chief executive.

The company has been working to change its original image as a consumer-focused directory service over the past few months, with several acquisitions aimed at bolstering its newer syndication model. Under the new strategy, Listen.com hopes to provide a music directory, reviews and streaming audio services for other Web sites. The privately held company has gone through several rounds of layoffs, but management maintains that it has enough funds to take the company through profitability.
