Linux seller adds e-mail protection

Cybernet Systems released an add-on pack that significantly expands the ability of its Linux server software, Netmax, to deal with viruses and unwanted e-mail. The $100 Powerpack filters e-mail based on which words appear in their text, who sent the message or which software was used to send it.

The new package can be added to Cybernet's E-commerce Suite of software for Netmax. The suite is based on Red Hat's version of Linux and costs $309 by itself or $499 in a bundle that includes Toshiba's Magnia SG20 server.
