Linux Online, the popular Linux resource, is no longer offline.

Michael McLagan, who operates the site, said today that he and his Internet service provider, US Net, have resolved their contractual differences, and that the site went back up Thursday evening.

The site, which gets about 100,000 page views a day from people seeking information on the Linux operating system, had been inaccessible since October 26.

US Net has agreed to host the site through December 6, McLagan said. However he's already making arrangements to use a different ISP after that date.

"When we change over, it will be a full T-1, so a lot of speed problems related to bandwidth will go away," McLagan added. The site currently has a 512-kbps connection, one-third the speed of a full T-1.

While the site was down, McLagan said, he got about 40 or 50 offers from people to host it.
