Linux Networx names new CEO

Linux Networx, a company that sells supercomputers built from clusters of interconnected Linux servers, has named Robert "Bo" Ewald its new chief executive. Former Linux Networx CEO Bernard Daines will remain chairman of the Salt Lake City-based company.

Ewald, 57, most recently was president of Ceridian subsidiary Human Resource Solutions. Earlier, he served as chief operating officer at two other high-performance computing companies, Cray and Silicon Graphics, and as leader of the Los Alamos National Laboratory's computing division.
