So, what are they going to do to people who are deaf or mute? Deny them passage onto the aircraft? How are they going to determine if someone really *IS* deaf or mute -- or just pretending to be so in order to avoid this ridiculous, vocal test?
according to the article, the system was able to pinpoint one person in 500. No mention was made however how they were distinguished from the other 59 people who displayed stress symptoms. Is this a secret? If so, we are an even bigger trouble.
who wants to put on headphones after thousands of dirty people with who knows what diseases and germs have already put them on. No thanks. Unless you could use your own headphones. Otherwise, i don't need to stick my head in the gutter.
This new truth detector technology should be used at future Bush press conferences. A big red light and klaxon should sound if unnatural stress is detected. Hey, if it's good enough for airport travelers, it is good enough for the President.
Why? He still would not be believed. If those who said what he said were not lying, and now say he lied, why would absolute proof of his veracity matter? As long as there are people who listen to liars, and without thinking repeat such charges, there are those who will say he lied
Of course, I have noticed that Mid-easterners seem to be very emotional, but the trick to passing a lie detector test is realizing whether the questioner can have any way of knowing if you are telling lies. If he/she does not, there is nothing to worry about, therefore you can say anything without giving yourself away. After I lied my way through a test and passed, I lost all faith in lie detectors. Afterwards I pointed out where I lied to the examiner. Needless to say, I did not get the job at the Sherrif's department. Kathy Overhauser, Roundup Montana US
Also, Kathy, I would add that being absolutely convinced (no intellectual or emotional conflicts) that what you are saying/doing or have done is correct, no matter what others including the examiner may think, will also most likely result in undetectable lie detector changes.
Knowing that you are correct is essential too - Update
Sorry for the duplication. I never post pseudonymously and didn't realize that my full name would *not* be included since I provided it. Therefore here we go again....

My sentiments exactly. let them all take one while the answer what they did for lobbyist and Corportions vs. what they did for the people. What a riot.
Blind tests, have shown that all results from any form of lie detection is subjective, and may be right or may be wrong half the time! As for all politicians, since they routinely tell fiction as fact, it would fail! Oh well, treating all customers as a terrorist, now that is interesting way to reduce return custom(must have learned that one from the SONY CORPORATION)
all the "talking heads" should have one attached to them during the shows, with lights above their heads going off each time they lie. Would have to have plenty of back-up light bulbs because they would burn out so often!!! what a hoot!!!! also, whoever thought of having them for ALL politicians is so right-on!!!!!
Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon--all are targets for Mozilla's plan to use Web apps to free people from ecosystem lock-in. Also: new Firefox features aplenty.
The rise of Apple's stores is one of the past decade's great retail stories. So, why then does the company continue to creep back into the big-box outlets and will this hurt the brand?
The company helps small businesses with little tech savvy build apps easily, and now its partner Constant Contact will email-blast prospective users, too.

1. his speeches would be shorter
2. his lies would be easier to detect...(altho how much easier could it be?) and
C. the Klaxon would less irritating
