Digital Camera peeves
The viewfinder on my digital camera is inaccurate under zoom conditions. I have had many good photos ruined because I accidentally cut off the top of someone's head, thinking the image in the viewfinder was what the picture would look like.

Fantastic article.
Absolutely wonderful article -- and my comments come from a digital camera owner who has tried (albeit not as good as some) to keep up with not only the technology, but the hype as well.

I couldn't agree more with everything you've stated here. I'm jealous over that ginger ale... ;-)

right on
Cool article. The whole digital zoom thing makes me angry. I never
use it, just a wasted feature, I guess it could be useful if you
wanted a pixelated effect.

one more thing
If you can afford it I recommend a digital slr (canon ones are
awesome)... they produce far superior images and no lag plus
being in control is so much better (there are auomatic settings on
them though, so great for beginners too). A great lense is a must, if
you want to produce great images. I have shakey hands so my slr
elimnated that. Oh and most use compact flash which is cheap and
easily available.
