LG licenses Honeywell GPS patents

LG Electronics in Korea has licensed two patents from Honeywell that describe how to improve accuracy of satellite-based Global Positioning System navigation systems by augmenting GPS data with inertial measurements about how a vehicle is moving.

Honeywell, based in Morris Township, N.J., said Sunday it licensed the technology to LG Electronics and some LG sublicensees for use in automotive equipment. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
