Kodak signs deal with chipmaker

Eastman Kodak has announced that chipmaker ESS Technology will develop chipsets for DVD players. The chipsets will allow the set-top boxes to display on television the images stored on Kodak's new Picture CDs. Consumers will also be able to send and order prints online through their televisions.

Kodak announced a similar partnership last week with LSI Logic. The agreements are part of Kodak's ongoing efforts to attract consumers to its digital imaging products.
