Kinko's debuts Web-based print options

FedEx Kinko's on Tuesday unveiled Web-based software that helps print documents at remote locations. The tool, dubbed "File, Print FedEx Kinko's," is lets customers control the printing process. Consumers can select options such as single- or double-sided printing and have the results printed at one of the chain's 1,100 centers across the United States, or shipped via FedEx.

The Web-based software, which uses Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and is compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms, is aimed at mobile professionals and small businesses.

Why no Apple support?
Its a shame that Kinko's has chosen not to support the very OS
that created the concept of desktop publishing -- and has made
Kinko's a LOAD of money.

For shame! No more Kinko's for me.

Very cool - and about time
As a web-enabled company since 1995, and net enabled company since 1985, we've been waiting a long time for this type of service. The option to have something shipped via our fedex acct., or picked up is great. I think this is a great solution for small business. We recently had a project where our more and more cranky 11x17 HP laser didn't want to print double-sided, and we needed 500 12-pp. booklets done for a show... had no time to go and get it done from our digital files, and this would have been the ideal fix. Yay! I'll be trying out this service as soon as I setup an account :)
