Tuning up for HDTV

Baseball fans during a pennant chase might disagree, but the TV-B-Gone universal remote control may be fun for its kitschy and, most importantly, discreet appeal. While not the first device of its kind, the $14.99 gadget is inexpensive and can turn off every model of U.S., Asian and European television, according to the company, San Francisco-based Cornfield Electronics. The product is available through the company Web site and select retail locations.
- I'd buy one

- Where can I buy one?
- Their website is down, and a search turns up no locations where I can buy one of these.
I'd love to get one, if I can. - Like this Reply to this comment
- PDA based TV clicker
- PDAs with IrDA can do this now with proper software. It's cell phone static we need so they go outside for better reception.

- Keychain clicker turns off TVs
- How about adding a channel up-down and volume up-down. I understand some people would enjoy turning off a TV but a far greater percentage would enjoy watching the program of their choice. Channel up-down would not be that tough, would it? I'd buy one right now.

- how about car stereos??
- I'd pay good money for something that would shut off those idiots with the unbelievably loud car stereos - with the bass line you can hear three blocks away. The rest of the world doesn't need to hear your music, thank you very much!

- Don't leave home without the universal remote
- If I'm not mistaken the universal remote I bought for one of my tv's works like that already--except that it can also change the channels and the volume once it finds the model. Why wait for the mini when you can go out in public with a bazooka? Let the anarchy begin...
