Jamcracker adds more customers

Jamcracker, an application service provider offering Web-based services for businesses, has begun delivering applications to more than 40 customers. The company added Asera, CAT Technology, Knowledge Networks, Right Works and Yipes Communications as clients. Jamcracker now has 42 paying customers and another 41 customers in various stages of use, which will begin generating revenue this year.

The ASP market has faced many questions about the potential success of the business model, which calls for an ASP to lease, monitor and maintain software for business customers that choose to outsource those tasks. Jamcracker differentiates itself from other ASPs by serving as an aggregator of services from dozens of other ASPs.
