Iomega launches business storage line

Iomega is heading in a new direction. The manufacturer of personal storage products such as the Zip drive launched a new line of business Monday. It announced four new network-attached storage file servers, which lets multiple computers share a single storage device over a network. The storage file servers, aimed at small and medium businesses, start at $1,099.

The new network storage products arrive at an opportune moment. They come at a time when Iomega is battling slower sales of its traditional Jazz and Zip drives, which allow people to back up files on to a removable disk.
