Interwoven, iManage team on content tools

Software makers Interwoven and iManage, both specialists in content management applications that help businesses track and reuse text and other assets, announced an alliance Monday. The two companies will combine products to create a "collaborative document management" (CDM) package that will unite typical content management functions with new tools. These new tools are intended to give workers more options for collaborating on documents with other parties within and outside their company.

"Together with iManage, Interwoven is pleased to be able to offer its customers the most comprehensive collaborative document management solution in the market today," said John Bara, vice president of marketing at Interwoven. Interwoven expects to make the CDM package available late this quarter, with pricing to be announced.
