Intel's top lawyer to retire
Dunlap, 53, has been the company's top lawyer through many notable legal battles, including tumultuous copyright infringement cases with Advanced Micro Devices. His contributions also helped enact the Chip Protection Act of 1984, which gave intellectual-property protection to chip design layouts. Dunlap joined Intel in 1974 as a product engineer. Sewell joined the company in 1995.
