InfoSpace names new president, CEO

InfoSpace has named Jim Voelker as president and CEO, replacing founder Naveen Jain. Voelker previously served as president and board director of Nextlink Communications, now XO Communications.

The Bellevue, Wash., search company said in July that it was seeking a replacement for Jain as CEO. InfoSpace's board of directors terminated Jain as chairman and CEO on Saturday. Jain told The Seattle Times that he opposed Voelker's nomination.
