Hewlett-Packard updated its ProLiant line of x86-based servers with the latest 2.6GHz Opteron processors from Advanced Micro Devices, the company said Wednesday. Models available with the Opteron 185, 285 and 885 include the dual-processor DL145 G2 and DL385 rack-mount servers, four-processor DL585 rack-mount server, dual-processor BL25p and BL35p blade servers, and four-processor BL45p blade server.
The new models will be available worldwide on March 20, HP said.
