Rockwell Collins, a manufacturer of aviation electronics for both commercial and government clients, has awarded Hewlett-Packard a seven-year contract to improve its IT infrastructure management. HP announced the deal Wednesday. The $175 million global services contract, which will last seven years, enlists HP to bring industry standard technology to Rockwell Collins' internal technology operations, such as server management and help desk services.
This is not the first collaboration for HP and Rockwell Collins. The tech solutions company already provides Rockwell Collins with HP Superdome servers, software and support services.
