HP completes Consera acquisition

Hewlett-Packard has completed its acquisition of Consera, a company whose software lets businesses automate sequences of management tasks. In addition, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based computer and printer maker has begun selling the software as the OpenView Service Delivery Designer, HP said Tuesday.

HP announced the acquisition plan earlier in February but didn't disclose terms of the deal. The move bolsters its Adaptive Enterprise strategy, which uses management software and other technology to make computing equipment more flexible, easier to share and more efficiently used.
