Google adds weather search

Search engine Google on Monday said that it has added a weather search function to its Web site. Weather conditions and forecasts are available for any location in the United States. The data can be accessed by typing "weather," followed by the location. Users can also add ZIP code and state name, if they wish.

Google said weather conditions also can be accessed from cell phones via short message service. The search engine has recently added several new features such as maps and film listings.
