High Tech Trifecta emerges...
Apple + Intel + Google = Silicon Valley High Tech Trifecta?

WWDC 2006 San Francisco, Steve Jobs:

"Even though Microsoft is spending $5 billion a year on research and development, it is not producing much innovation. These days, all they seem to be able to do is try to copy Google and Apple,".

Maybe Al Gore is right about "Global Warming" cause it is getting fircely hot between the Leopard & the copycats in Redmond.

steve jobs on aapl's board, no kidding?
of course steve jobs is on aapl's board; perhaps you could modify
your teaser on the front door. on a more important front, this news
means a big aapl-goog soon. dell and google have teamed up, but
schmidt is not on their board. thing BIG. looking forward to reading
the scoop--still the best way to grow a media business.

Strong board but a bit ethically challenged
In terms of mature, creative and intellectual talent, Apple's board
probably can not be topped. Jobs shows his strength by putting
people as successful and smart as he is (Gore excepted) on his
board.

But the board's also a bit ethically challenged, making one
wonder how this affects Apple's corporate culture.

Jobs: Options back dating.
Gore: A known liar, which is why he lost in 2000.
Schmidt: Cooperates with censorship in China, tries to overwrite
authors' copyrights in deals with integrity-challenged academic
libraries.

Jobs and Schmidt share one love: Secrecy.

Gore?
Bush lied more than Gore.

(Oh wait... if you aren't smart enough to know it's not true, I guess you aren't telling a lie!)

Schmidt, like it or not, it only doing business as usual. I don't like the cooperation on censorship, but their only real options are to comply or not join the growing market in China.

Citizen Gates & Communist Dictator
HELLOOOOO!
Citizen Gates had the Communist Dictator (China's President to be politically correct) at his mansion in Seattle for a formal dinner to dicuss trade policies & new frontiers in China.

Gore did not lose the Prsidential election since he received the popular vote / more votes from the US citizens than Bush did. Bush & his crownies did what ever they could legally / illegally in Florida to fix the vote.

Jobs & Co. voluntarily contacted the authorities regarding stock options after their own internal investigation. This matter is pending (a lot of corporations : C|NET) but will be resolved in a transparent & official manner by Apple.

Stupid comment
Honestly just stop.

Jobs gave back his options before the investigation, and from
my view point has done just about everything possible to fix the
errors as quickly as possible. They're taking it seriously. I'll be a
lot of companies would have tried to hide their investigation into
what happened. They're trying to fix it, and because of delayed
fillings they make be taken out of the NASDAQ. This is all
voluntary. There is no SEC investigation at this point.

Al Gore is a tool, but his energies spent on environmentalist
make him a worthy partner for any tech company. Our little
devices contain some very nasty things that seep into the
environment when they're not disposed of properly. Al Gore has
pushed Apple towards a more environmentally friendly Apple.
How bad could that really be? Besides, anyone who's looked at
what Gore has said "I took the initiative in creating the
internet", etc. knows he's just a terrible speaker. Poor word
choice shouldn't condemn a man to being a liar.

Yahoo has helped the Chinese government send a man to prison
for emailing "state secrets". The American government keeps
renewing China's status as a favoured trade partner. A lot of the
crap you buy comes from some factory in China where 16-hour
days are the norm. None of us like what China does, but what is
Google really going to do? China is like the snotty kid who
brought the baseball and the bases. **** them off, the game is
over. If anything ***** at the government, your senator, and your
representative.
