GoTo appoints new board member

Web search company GoTo says it has appointed Steve Alesio to its board of directors. Alesio is a senior vice president of The Dun & Bradstreet and has 19 years of senior management and operating experience at American Express. Alesio is also a member of the board of directors of Administaff. He is the seventh member to join GoTo's board.

Pasadena, Calif.-based GoTo has distribution partners that include AltaVista, AOL Time Warner's America Online and Netscape Communications, CompuServe, EarthLink and MindSpring, Microsoft, and Terra Lycos.
