Gateway expands broadband rollout
Gateway announced on Wednesday it has completed the rollout of broadband service offerings through its Gateway stores across the United States. Gateway stores in cable-serviced areas in the United States now offer high-speed cable Internet service as a part of a PC bundle or as a standalone product. The company started its efforts to roll out high-speed cable access last year and has established relationships with Adelphia, America Online, AT&T Broadband, Charter Communications, Comcast, Cox Communications and EarthLink. Gateway has sold more than 50,000 subscriptions, according to the company.
