Game publisher Majesco names CEO

Game publisher Majesco said Tuesday that it has named Steve Race as CEO. Race, a Majesco board member, is the former president of Sony Computer Entertainment America. Race helped lead the Sony division through the development and launch of the PlayStation, which went on to become the top console in the video game market.

Majesco founder and former CEO Morris Sutton will assume the role of chairman of the board, according to the company. Majesco is best known for PC and video games based on "Star Trek: Voyager" and Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six" military novels.
