Not to mention, I watch anime, now, a single season of anime compressed can run up over 5 GB for me, which I don't like splitting (I can't afford a bunch of Dual-layer DVDs :/) but by the time I'll be using blue-ray DVDs, they'll be at a price I could easily pay for something that large. Also, ever think of how much digital media could be stored on one of those? If I backed up my entire collection of digital media, I could easily fill a LOT of DVDs (single layer...) I have an 80 GB drive nearly full, and another 30 GB getting close now, as well. That would only be 2 full size Dual-layer DVD's. or so, as opposed to about over 5 times that many dual-layer DVDs.
I agree that rootkits and DRM are a huge issue, but the simple fact that they can hold so much media will allow the media people to concentrate less on compressing things, and more on making things higher quality, without worrying about size. not to mention some game systems have large games which require numerous DVDs to play, where they could fit the entire game onto 1 blue ray disk. These are targetted much more to coorperate use than home use at this point, and most likely will stay that way for some time.

- Heavy competion in a niche market. Persons with information and specifications regarding the motor drive and protective casing of this particular Blue-ray disc notebook, can make this a must have with great battery life. Daily uploads; for subsidiary companies like FritoLays, Space-X, NASA, Coca-Cola and Pepsi.
