Activision on Tuesday announced that the multiplatform action game based on the film has shipped to North American retailers. The movie-based action game is available on the Xbox, PS2, GameCube, PC and GameBoy Advance.
Gamers will play as the titular quartet: Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and The Thing, as they fight through a story penned by Zak Penn, screenwriter of "X2" and the upcoming "Spy Hunter." The superheroes will use their unique powers to battle their nemesis, Dr. Doom. Both a single-player game and two-player cooperative mode allow gamers to take the role of any of the Fantastic 4 and switch freely between them throughout.
The game features the voices of the film's leading actors: Jessica Alba as Sue Storm; Michael Chiklis as The Thing; Chris Evans as Johnny Storm; Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards; and Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom/Dr. Doom.
Fantastic 4 is rated T for Teen, except for the GBA version, which is rated E-10+. The Xbox, PS2 and GameCube versions retail for $49.99 and the PC and GBA versions sell for $29.99.
