Considering the wide-spread corruption by so-called public employees, I will not allow anybody
to use anything of mine when they say it is in the "public" interest- they lie daily. Look at Bush and Cheney each making millions by keeping the Iraq war going.

Public interest my a**
Everyone here sees dollar signs, and big ones. There is no way to allocate this very, very valuable spectrum other than the highest bidder. Whomever that is will certainly use it in ways that will benefit the most people and drive for them the highest potential revenue and profit.

Anyone who is shouting "pubilic interest" here is just trying to find a way for their special interest to get their hands on this spectrum at a lower price than the market will bear. Tell me again how taking a lower price for the taxpayers is in their interest?
