Everdream, a provider of hosted PC management services, on Tuesday named former Sybase and Commerce One CEO Mark Hoffman as its new president and CEO. Hoffman replaces Gary Griffiths, who has left the Fremont, Calif.-based company.
Everdream, a venture-backed company, was founded in 1998 and has about 140,000 desktops under management. In a statement, Hoffman said he intends to focus on executing the company's current strategy. "Everdream's recurring revenue model was especially appealing to me, as it not only provides the company with a strong financial foundation, but also commits us to sharing responsibility for our customers' success," Hoffman said. He left struggling e-commerce company Commerce One in October 2004, before ComVest Investment Partners and DCC Ventures acquired the assets of the company in December.
