atomic clocks are not new
Atomic clocks have been part of GPS from the beginning. These
clocks are key to its accuracy as the position measurements rely on
radio signal transmission time to measure the distance between 4
satellites and the user GPS receiver, which then determines the
geographic position (similar to triangulation) based on those time/
distance calculations.
