Email problems plague Go Network

  • Post a comment
A month after its official launch, a problem in the Go Network's free email service has prevented subscribers from receiving messages.

Users with specified Go Network email addresses (go.com) were able to send but not receive messages to and from outside services.

The problem, detected early yesterday, has since been fixed, said a spokeswoman for the network. However, she would not comment on the specific nature of the problem.

"We are working on it and we will want people to respond to our customer service," the spokeswoman said.

The problem follows the much-anticipated launch of the portal--produced jointly by Disney, Infoseek, and Starwave--which is aiming to become one of the most-visited "destination sites" on the Web. Disney has been quick to integrate its online properties, such as ESPN and ABCNews.com, under the Go-branded umbrella.
