High-end blade server maker Egenera named a new chief executive Wednesday after Bob Dutkowsky left to become CEO of Tech Data. Chief Operating Officer Mike Thompson has been named Egenera's new president and CEO, the company said Wednesday, but Dutkowsky remains chairman of the company's board.
Before joining Egenera in early 2002, Thompson worked at two other high-end server companies: Stratus Technologies and, before that, Tandem Computers.
