Education dept. raises hand for tech

The U.S. Department of Education is looking to parents, educators and business leaders to help shape the future of technology in public schools. The department said Friday that it's asking people from a wide variety of sectors to assist in further crafting the National Education Technology Plan, an initiative required by the No Child Left Behind law that seeks to outline the best ways to use computers and other technology in the classroom in order to help students learn. People can submit their comments by visiting www.nationaledtechplan.org and clicking on the "Participate!" tab.
