WOW! This Looks Like Big, Big, Big Business....
... opportunities here. Guess the "COMMANDER and his CREW" will be able to afford to purchase some tickets to fly on board the CONCORDE (when it flies again - soon it is hoped)) after all! How so, if one should ask? Hey, think in terms of the financial, economic and technical analyses to be gone through (Knowledge is Power) for large scale projects all over the world - billion dollar hydro-power projects and all. Wow!

"renewable fuels such as solar, wind and hydro-electric...
... power" they say? Then President Bush is right on the money.

The Upper Mazaruni Hydro-Power Project (UMHP) and SWECO (that Swedish company) any one!

Big money, hopefully big changes
Europians already have largescale offshore wind farms, and they want to do more (!) while in the U.S., We are still complaining about our first (not even built yet) off the Eastern coast. Since our government doesn't care (beyond a few percent) about RE, we have to help spread awareness. It's possible for corporations to rent solar panels, given the rabates. That in turn will lower prices in mass. Perhaps, they can "rent" wind farms (somehow) for profit. Many people will pay as long as there is not huge up front costs. America needs to talk more about RE so that the financial leaders will be more inclined to build a vast largescale RE electrical infrastructure complete with electric cars with advanced battery tech.

lets go solar now!
I hope this research continues. There is a solar solution that consumers can take advantage of right now. I am a manager with a brand new company called CitizenRe. If you ever wanted to help the environment and get most of your energy from the sun and not from your dirty energy provider, this company will provide you a solar solution with NO UPFRONT COST! Please investigate and continue discussion in this thread:

Red Herrings
Global warming is a Red Herring, under the guise of a "crisis" governments all over the world are looking at how they can become energy independent. CO2 emissions are not a major cause of global climatic change, at least not at the current and projected levels. CO2 is such a small fraction of the atmosphere that it's total effect is completely overwhelmed by other atmospheric components.

With the way oil money is paying for the global terrorism moving toward complete energy independence is a worthwhile goal in and of itself but somehow the EU doesn't seem to want to be seen using that as their excuse so global warming gets the blame instead.
