EFF supports MusicCity in brief
In October, the Recording Industry Association of America and the Motion Picture Association of America sued MusicCity as well as file-swapping services Kazaa and Grokster in an attempt to prevent people from trading copies of music and films over the Web. In November, the EFF, which has represented hackers, cryptographers and computer scientists in its push for digital rights, agreed to defend MusicCity. StreamCast Networks, which is based in Nashville, maintains the Morpheus software and MusicCity.com Web site.
