E Ink taps two new board members

E Ink announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors. The Cambridge, Mass.-based display technology start-up said it was adding Kenneth A. Bronfin, president of Hearst Interactive Media, and Hideaki Kawai, managing director of Toppan Printing Company, to its board. Hearst Interactive Media is a unit of the Hearst Corporation and was an initial investor in E Ink. Toppan Printing Company has invested $30 million into E Ink. Toppan is a supplier of display and electronics components to manufacturers.

E Ink was founded in 1997 and is working on a new low-power display technology for handheld devices, billboards and electronic paper.
