DivX video jogs forward
The San Diego-based company, which competes with much larger rivals Microsoft, Apple Computer and RealNetworks, has made recent strides toward market acceptance. Some big-name DVD player manufacturers have built support for its technology into their machines. Last week, the company announced that Italian Net service provider Wind would create a video-on-demand service using the DivX format.
