- This product is terrible, it's a waste of any money. $19.99 is not a bargain if you're just giving it away. I bought this thing to test wi-fi connectivity in a hotel that is a client of my IT company. The wi-fi detector detected dozens of "dead spots", but when we later went back with a laptop, we would get full signal from most of the places the wi-fi detector showed as dead spots. When I contacted Kensington, they said there must be a problem with my unit, so they sent me a replacement...which showed identical information.
