Where's the video
I wonder if they are going to release the video of his death or not. Maybe on YouTube?!

No manners
This great man of wild life with all the love he has for life, and you can only focus on the video. I don't know if he wanted this to be viewed but his wife will decide since she knows him best. You should be ashamed of yourself, the man isn't in the ground yet.

idiot
how stupid and insensitive are you?this mans family friends and his legion of worldwide fans are still reeling with the shock of his tragic death and you ask this question?who cares whether a video will be released?if it is,it is but give the mans family some time to grieve before asking such a stupid question.

check eBay
Someone will probably be offering it for sale (probably fake) before long.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see a spam attack claiming to
contain the video. Of course it will be actually be a trojan
horse program.

video will not be released
I read a story that the video of his death will not be released, it will be viewed for investigation purposes, but that's about it.

Video is sealed, anyone claimin got have a copy is full of BS, until it becomes, if, public.

I bet you there are many many men that die from this type of accident, and only the famous people are the ones who make the news, there is plenty of local fisherman that die from all kinds of unfortunate events, and you never head a about it.

The crocodile hunter, He will be so missed in our home, since he was a big part for our kids to see the wonderful world of animals he brought into our home, since of course we wasn't able to go to the exotic places and see the amazing animals . Our hearts go out to everyone of his family exspecially his wife and kids....just know he will always hold a place in our hearts too....god bless...

Love Steve
My family have always watched everything Steve has ever done. My daughter, Jazzikia, has made a decision based on his work to study animal wildlife for her future. She has already been inspired by Steve to do rescue for wild life here in Mississippi. We are so sorry for his death and our prayers are with his wife and kids. We adore them just as much as him. Feels like a family member has been lost for us as well. Guess he gets to care for the wild life in heaven now and watch over all of us down here. For a man of 44 he has lived 100 compared to the rest of us.

Celebrate, Don't mourn
Steve was the best, i am so sorry to hear that he passed away wildlife will not be the same without Steve.I am 13 years old and i would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Steve's friends, colleagues and above all his loving family whom he doted on more than anything in this world for their deeply moving and unfortunate at this time. But being Steve, he wouldn't want everyone mourning his death, but celebrating a truly remarkable life and glittering career. I hope Steve's family and friends can pull together and help each other through what must be a very difficult and challenging time, and wish them all the very best and every success and chance of happiness in the coming times.

Sad indeed, but certainly not a shock
Play with dangerous animals and you will eventually come up short.

I lost all respect for the man, after the incident with his child and the croc, but it is still very sad.

I agree about the incident with his infant child...
...but his ESPN commercial still brought a smile the first time I saw it. He'll be missed, that's for sure.

HUH?
I could have figured that the teeny-boppers would be shocked. I mean... What the hell... If someone can not even capitalize his name in a posting or know how to punctuate a paragraph...

What can you expect?

Two hundred million watched Steve Irwin World-wide
He brought the 'out-back' into our living rooms. He dedicated his life to researching and protecting crocs. He is a role model for the kids of today. He was loved by everyone world-wide. His wife was as dedicated as he was, his wife supported him in everything he done. All his friends supported him in everything he done. He was and is a great man. A true legend I will never forget. He gave me hours of informative entertainment through his television shows on both british television on ITV and the Discovery Channel network. You were never fake, you took real life taking risks to show us how animals live in their natural habitat. While these animals are dangerous Steve Irwin did show me these wild animals do have a soft side and aren't as bad as they look. Steve Irwin was unlucky to be struck in the heart by a Ray in shallow water. It seems like the Ray felt boxed in by Steve Irwin and his cameraman. The most unlucky accidents happen to the best of us. While he did take risks, he took risks to understand fully the animals he loved. He was a dare-devil, I like dare-devils and I respect him for what he done during his lifetime. People in America sometimes think this is Australian news, but Steve Irwin was loved by everyone across the world. I think he goes down as one of the wildlife greats in terms of television wildlife experts. You'll be remembered and missed everytime I switch on Discovery Channel and ITV, but I don't know if i'll be able to watch the re-runs because i'll be too upset after this tragic accident. His wife and kids have a husband and a dad to be proud of, and shouldn't feel guilty about the risks he took, and I hope they don't regret allowing him to be who he was. He was a pure genius and a very intelligent man and for that he will live in my mind forever. Croc's rule! :(

What a beautiful way to go
I have watched Steve Erwin countless times and am ever grateful to him for what I have learned from his programs.

I cannot help wishing that when my time comes - I go in the same way - smack-dab in the middle of doing something that I love.

Fare thee well Steve - I am sure there are angels that look and behave like crocodiles :))

Everyone dies... not everyone truly lives
Steve Irwin lived a life worthy of note. His death immediately reminded me of the quote from Braveheart: "Everyone dies... not everyone truly lives."

Baby Bob Situation
I totally agree with your assessment below. Steve would NEVER have done anything to put his children in peril. The media saw a chance to sensationalize the occurance so they could sell more copy. The media is SICK, SICK, SICK. And so are those who fall for their crap. I've often wondered if the ignorant outcry from the baby Bob situation didn't damage Steve's spirit and take the edge off of his usual alertness. I know he was crushed by the misperception that people used against him. I'm sickened and angereded by all who say Steve was irresponsible and risked baby Bob's life. That simply could NEVER happen.

"While it is not the sort of thing that I would do, I would have to allow that this guy knew a bit more about the reaction time of this particular well fed animal than anyone else. The alternate footage also shows quite clearly that he had a clear escape path and was two steps from the fence. it is nothing like the crazy dangerous things that people do with their kids, like not wearing seat belts in cars."
