Cray has promoted two executives, the Seattle supercomputer specialist said on Monday. Ly-Huong Pham, a 45-year-old former Turbolinux chief executive hired by Cray in February to be vice president of software, now controls engineering, manufacturing and information services as the company's senior vice president of operations.

In addition, Peter Ungaro, signed up by Cray from IBM in 2003, has been promoted from vice president of sales and marketing to senior vice president for sales, marketing and services.
