Counterpane beds down $20 million

Counterpane Internet Security announced Tuesday it raised a $20 million fourth round of funding, led by Comcast Interactive Capital and Meritech Capital Partners. Previous investors Accel Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, Dell Ventures, Morgan Stanley Venture Partners and Symphony Technology also contributed to this round. The Cupertino, Calif.-based company has raised a total of $78 million. Counterpane provides a security monitoring service for customers' networks.
