potential for abuse

So instead of having to send field agents to try to ferret out native medicinal sources, drug companies can read the location off a map provided by the very natives themselves. Seems like a recipe for abuse. It begs the question, what is being done to safe-guard this data on behalf of those who are ill equipped to recognize the value of what they are providing?
