Concourse, iPass in wireless Net deal

Concourse Communications and its subsidiary New York Telecom Partners signed a deal with iPass to provide wireless Internet access in airports including all three New York City-area airports. The wireless service, which will be unveiled starting this fall, will be based on the 802.11b standard, sometimes called Wi-Fi. iPass will provide an access gateway as well as authentication software for Concourse's networks, which let people with Wi-Fi cards in their laptop computers get online wirelessly.
