Concord debuts $99 slim digital camera

Concord Camera announced Thursday that it will introduce a $99 5-megapixel super-slim digital camera. The company said the Concord 5042 is the first such camera to cost less than $100.

Concord will unveil the camera at next week's Photo Marketing Association Trade Show in Orlando, Fla. The Concord 5042 features 4x digital zoom and a 1.5-inch color LCD (liquid crystal display). It takes AVI movies with sound of up to 15 frames per second. The camera, which is 0.8 inches wide and 2.2 inches high, is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2005 in gun-metal gray.
