Lower component costs - more faults!
It's always good to see HP get good results, when selling their kit is one's bread & butter! But reading that their PC components are costing less is not good news, since we've been experiencing far too many incidents of PC component failures over the past year or so! That is over & above the overheating capacitor problems during 2004.

I Like My HP - Glad Company Is Doing Well
I like my 2002 HP computer, and my next computer will also be an HP.

IDC states that "HP had a very strong quarter, growing nearly twice the market rate worldwide and almost three times the rate in the United States."

My previous computer was a Dell, and I have no interest in buying another one.

I have heard that iPod also manufacturers computers, but that they are a market share failure. lol :-)
