The primary reason most of the customers I talk to are willing to switch to AT&T is that:
-The Hallmark Channel went Digital
-They can't have their tech out two hours after they call
-they abuse the system for promos.

2008/2009 are going to be very, very fun years.

I am leaving comcast in 6 months for FIOS

Comcast is really throttling me down to where I can even play video games or watch streaming videos on the internet anymore.

Each time I start a video it dies then I check with my sniffer and comcast keeps resetting me!

I wish I knew the comcast tech involved with killing my connection so I can beat him up.

Oh my.. they have competition. So why don't they *gasp* drop their prices?!

When there is competition, the consumer wins.

IMHO and personal experience...Comcast is a second rate company with obsolete technology. Switched to Verizon FIOS (TV and Internet) and couldn't be happier. Comcast couldn't deliver quality bandwidth. My Vonage was unusable and the TV picture always had a mild case of ant wars (fuzzy, snowy) going on...even after they replaced the cable from the street to the house and checked the line. All beter now with FIOS. Competition is a beautiful thing !!

Customer Service not competition
by clumpkin September 19, 2007 10:46 AM PDT
It has been my experience that Comcast treats it's customers as property. I have heard one person tell me they like the service they receive from Comcast against a few hundred that have very valid complaints. Throttling bandwidth on "unlimited" service, blocking ALL bittorrent traffic indiscriminately, ignoring complaints from it's customers all add up to a horrible user experience. Until vary recently you had no choice but with Uverse and Fios as well as Satellite and internet on-demand video sites Comcast is going to continue to bleed customers like myself. I couldn't switch fast enough.

sure it isn't that their service borders on suck and their treating customers like crap isn't part of it?

I'd take RCN instantly if they were available instead.
