Seriously, this nonsense has GOT to stop. As it stands, as a Canadian citizen, I very much want to watch your TV shows. I don't mind going to your website, I don't mind watching ads on your website.
Why, then, do you refuse to take my money? Or even allow me to watch your content on your website?
"Unable to view content in region" (like that Comcast 'tv on a website' nonsense) is becoming more and more common. Some sites just straight-up redirect you (I'm looking at you, Comedy Central).
Why, exactly, won't you let me view the Daily Show archives? Are you afraid Canadians won't get the jokes? Worried our electricity isn't compatible with yours? Afraid that we'll watch your TV shows and learn all your secrets?
I apologize for the sarcasm, but I'm EXTREMELY frustrated.
Guys, I have some news for you. The internet is an infinite supply of alternate sources for content. You preventing us from watching $televisionshow on your website does not, in any way, prevent us from getting it elsewhere.
The internet knows no borders. That's the whole freaking point!. Can you PLEASE stop acting like it does?

- I'd buy more ondemand movies if they were reasonably priced. You'd think not having to hire clerks and stock shelves or ship padded envelopes or do separate billing that the movies would be more reasonably priced. Not so. But then again, my DVD player doesn't just stop responding to the remote every so often on a whim like the Comcast box with the "upgraded" TV Guide based cruddy cable box.

- I had that same problem

- And it turned out that the box was defective, as well as a wire outside the house needing replaced after 20 years of being out there in the weather.

(5 Comments)Don't blame Comcast for those problems, it usually comes from multiple factors and is sometimes something like a bad box that they just cannot control.
