CipherTrust adds policy compliance to e-mail

Messaging-security company CipherTrust announced on Tuesday that it has bolstered its IronMail e-mail security systems with additional policy compliance features to satisfy federal regulations. The security features, which include technology from PostX and Voltage Security, can help defend against intellectual-property theft, eavesdropping and other information leaks.

CipherTrust's new e-mail architecture, dubbed the IronMail Privacy Architecture, allows customers to set encryption levels as part of a corporate e-mail policy, helping guarantee that the messages have not been modified. CipherTrust hopes that easing the adoption of encryption will aid companies in deploying it more quickly.
