What goes around comes around
So does this mean that I can sue Cingular for their recorded messages telling me how to make a payment on "my" account (which doesn't exist)?

i get them too.. in spanish "press 1 on your cellular to claim your prize"
I ******* to sprint and wanted them to block these #s..they said they couldn't.

The numbers are different every time now.

Calling them back gets invalid #.

Also I pressed 1 the one time, and got connected to an operator, and said "why do you keep calling me?" and they hung up.

Definitely automated, prerecorded male voice in Spanish.

These are/were the spanish spammer #'s:

Excellent
It's great to see a company protecting their customers. I have a different provider, and I hope they would do the same. I've ben lucky so far and have not yet received any solicitations on my Cell, but I've only had it since April this year.

I've dreaded it though. I've also dreaded the possibility of text messages. Why? Because I don't want to be paying to receive these advertizements. Text messages directly cost me money. Voice calls cost me minutes, which are the currency of cell plans. Should a lot of calls happen and my allotment of free minutes is consumed that billing period, then it does indeed directly cost me money. Phones that do not have a calling plan, would directly cost people money to receive such calls.

For that reason, cell phones should be off-limits to telemarketers. PERIOD. I believe it used to be outright illegal to telemarket to cellphones, but tha tlaw recently changed and it's now allowed. I was horrified when I heard about that that my cell bill would increase because of it. I'll be happy to join any lawsuits intended to stop them from costing me money to listen to their offers.
